After watching an academy award winning movie, Slumdog Millionaire, for three times since last week, i really into this term 'it is written'.
if something bad happened in our life such as accident...was it written ..? or was it due to our carelessness ....or was it both ?
i cherish god for giving me the happiness in life...i know some people might think i don't deserve it .....but then again , i guess..........it is written.

I think whatever God has given us in life be it happiness or sadness, we all deserve it one way or the other.So I guess it is written but accidents and the likes,(unless its the other party's fault) our carelessness and negligence even arrogance contribute to it.We often said its fated so we can justify our mistakes and learn from it. My humble and personal opinion only lah..Alahai slumdog millionaire ya boring and depressing lah hehe..(Lain org lain citarasa bah..faham)

actually , i like to watch one man in the movie, the inspector ..he has charisma (ya i know he's not handsome)
Depressing when we watch slums and pain inflicted on innocent people.But I like Anil Kapoor hehe..

To put it that way is too much simplified, although God works is so much more complicated than that. A friend once told me, she said,
"Life is full of choices. However, every choices have its own set of consequences. For every decision that we make, it'll produce a unique set of consequences. This particular consequence also will generate another set of further event that can lead to infinite amount of what can actually happen. It's a multi-chain reaction."
It's like a computer programming that can produce options from the click of a mouse, and whichever we click, it'll lead to few other options. What to click is our choice, but the all the pre-prepared answer and result is God's written work, of which sometimes we know, sometimes we wouldn't know. When we know, we said we made the right choice. When we don't know, we said we leave it to God. If the choice is wrong, we said it's fated. But no. God has know beforehand what will happen if you made whichever choices you want, but He would have leave it to you to make the option from the very beginning.
This might be blasphemy for some, but this come from my personal opinion.
When I view it that way, it made more sense than just accepting life is fated. Life is also actually choices that we actually made. What differ us from God is that we could not predict the DEFINITE end result from a single choice that we made.

maybe you're right ..in a book of Islam (Al Quran) also stated God would not change our fate/destiny if we don't try to change it ourselves...
But as a weak human being sometime we really don't know what to choose
dear ..that is when we seek help from god..to show us the right choice and the right path in life ...(also my personal opinion ahaks..)
Ermm.. I think you did not get my concept.
Put it this way. Life is like mathematics. That is, Super Advance Mathematics. It's a super complicated mathematics that God created.
The main thing thing is input>process>output.
Whatever input, will produce output. Imagine, 1 input can produce 10,000 output. We human can make the input (from our brain), but the output is within the 10,000. This 10,000 is controlled by God.
There is nothing wrong in asking guidance from above. For nobody in particular, it helps us to clear our mind. But nobody ever say, "God, if I should marry him, pls break this glass" and immediately it break. Even if it is, it does not necessarily mean, our choice is absolutely correct. The afterresult might only shown in the next generation even. You'll never know right? All human is weak, that's why we are human, not God :D
This is actually solely to answer your question whether 'It is Written'. Hehe.
