The discommunications occur maybe because of men and women has different emotional needs. Women usually complain about problems because they want their problems to be acknowledged, while men complain about problems because they are asking for solutions. One of my good friends told me that when we want to talk to this human from mars we need to be well prepared with all the facts and theories to support our ideas or opinions. hehe .sounds complicated to me. But , i don't think i am in a right position to discuss this matter in details due to lack of experiences and the fact that i am still single.Nevertheless, as an academician, i do believe that conflict usually occur due to lack of communication.

yezzar....that's y tuhan dah tentukan jodoh kita...mun sorang 'api', pasangannya mestilah 'air'...n yang penting mesti give n take....bertolak ansur, berterus terang,menegur kalau ada yang silap...sikpa su, pengalaman kawan-kawan n suasana yang berlaku kat keliling kita, kita blh jadikan teladan dan iktibar...insya Allah, mun 'panduan' kita masih pada yang SATU dan pesuruhNya, kita akan masih on the rite track....wah, semangat juak..panjang alu komen kmk...hehe...kalah kuah dari suduk..bak kata karam sing walia.. :p
Dalam al Quran pun ada madah perempuan baik untuk lelaki baik dan perempuan jahat pasangannya pun jahat. More or less couple ya sesuai untuk each other. hehe..like you and awek..uppss....
The communication process between men and women takes more than just understanding of facts and theories but expressions and listening skills to convey one's thought in a more effective way other than by spoken words.Different perceptions of ideas and opinions should also be considered as it seems to be one of the main barriers to effective communications.

yes, i forgot that more than 80% true or honest communication comes from non verbal expression such as our voice tone, facial expression and body gestures..
Unfortunately,i perceive man as they only can hear but not listen hehe...The communication barriers might also due to different life experience or different background .

I do not know whether you will agree on this or not. Recently I found that thinking and being silent is also a form of communication.It's either I am going nuts or I just conveniently found myself a new way of communicating.
Eg..someone in your life verbally abused you.Hurlings abusive and offensive comments on you or your family.If you answer back in terms of verbal answers which i can guarantee, laced with abusive and foul language too,it will just suck your energy out.You will become as 'an asshole'(tut....) as he is..At the end you will find yourself tired,full of hatred etc...
But,if you keep your silence and answer back within your own thought, trust me, you will become amused.Our mind is the greatest medium one can explore.Nobody can own or direct your thinking.No ISA can arrest you..So,you are free to hurl or throw your comments on the other persons with whatever things you wish to.You can even hurl your long lastings abusive, offensive or whatever you wish to even to the extent of spinning someone in her grave..hahhaha..very deep ha..if you knw what I mean..
And with these silent communication,you will find yourself smiling and save your energy to something which is worthy of your attention.He/She will always be on the disadvantage of not knowing what you have abused them with in your mind.And they will never have the opportunity to answer it back or make you reliable for it..
Try it if you ever encounter the type of persons who misused thier power against you..

Guess i am doing the silent communication of yours now at this very moment :) .God willing, i feel more peaceful and grateful at the same time..hehe.. other than that we better leave it to God i guess..just pray that we are doing fine, blessed and protected by him.
I think we need to accept the fact that life is always full of challenges and tests. :)

Goodness...are you sure your students will be able to grasp it?You know teenagers normally prefer to be able to express themselves instead of applying the silent communication.
By the way, what subject do you teach in college?
Basically Nurlisa...,all economics subject will be thrown at me...~sigh~ demand supply,unemployment,inflation,economic growth...bla...bla...but,i am also a tutor for one of management subjects which is Human resource management (HRM)
In that case,with the global economic crisis now, I am sure you are full with case study to present to your students..
Anyway,please post new items for us to discuss here.Else, for these postings, you will hv endless comments which will derailed frm the original topic.
